FF14 Logs: Fantasia Lily
Reposted from my old FF14 ask blog, sometime when I used a fantasia for one of my characters to make her from a Roe into a Au Ra. I never get the naming connotations right...
One day, Lily Etoile woke up to inexplicably find herself an Au ra woman. Instead of ears, there were horns upon her, and… she had a tail! Fascinating.
It was a rather dull night yesterday, so as for how this could’ve happened was a mystery to her.
“Good morning, Lily. Did you get a new haircut?” Bon had been the first to wake up, but somehow he didn’t note any changes. The haircut she had was new, but the lack of commentary on the sudden physiology change left a lot to be desired.
“Hey, Lily! Do you want anything from the Bismarck?” Beet yawned, “Rene and M’ari are the only ones actually awake enough to buy anything…”
Lily pointed to herself.
“Oh, the haircut is nice.” Beet nodded.
Lily waved her arms again and exclaimed, “Wasn’t there something different about me?!”
“Like… not the hair?”
“Wasn’t I taller?!”
“You’ve always been taller than Beet and Sage, if that’s what you mean.” Rene popped up from the room next to theirs. “But, Bon’s still the tallest one out of all of us.”
“Wasn’t I a roegadyn?!”
“Maybe? It could’ve been a glamour too. Well, weird things happen all the time, so I wouldn’t think about it too hard.” Rene shrugged.
It didn’t seem to be causing any trouble, so Lily simply accepted this as is.
While this didn’t have any problems, the only major thing was that she was no longer the imposing height that she was used to. She could still reach for things off the shelf without needing help, but for oranges she was able to pick before without ease whenever visiting the farms, she had to stand on her toes. And it was strange to lay down on a pillow because her horns would get in the way.
Pepper had came by a week later. “Say, did anyone see a potion that was particularly blue? I was going to use it for a spell, but I ended up drinking an elixir instead…”
“Wasn’t that elixir for Lily? I made that!” With a huff of frustration Beet sharply jabbed Pepper in the foot.
