I didn't really work much with this one since it would've required a lot of screenshots of various cities within the city states.
One of the things I wanted to do with my NPC ask blog universe was make sure that they also wore clothing that matched up to NPCs in the areas for the sake of accuracy (in my mind, anyways.) I only did one town's worth though because I realized that one could just go to garlandtools or some other spot to just get photos of the NPCs and data. Also, I did this during the Siren quest of the MSQ so I also incorporated that into this. I know pillowfort isn't really an image heavy based site so I'll need to adjust to that as well.
One of my most suggested fulfillment upon starting this task amongst my peers was a survey of what was considered both practical and useful for the average worker and citizen of the city states.
Well, it should have been relatively simple, all things considered. I had a pasty to take photos of utilizing my soul trapper (a magitek device from my old… country) but the pasty I hired to get photos of is… quite a person.
The girl… is clumsy. She gets herself, her minion, and her chocobo into majority of the photos! She dragged me single handedly onto the boat and took off, mind you, to a forbidden island.
Apparently this isn’t the first time a siren has been found, nor the ghosts, and all sorts of dangerous things. I am merely a mage, so anything physical is something I detest.
I simply did not listen to the siren’s song.
The workers all tend to be wearing similar clothes minus the woman in red. I had her identified as a researcher but that’s one of those exceptions I was speaking of beforehand. The fact that she wasn’t but still ended up muddying the results is… oh, whatever. I wanted average civilians, not the stand outs. I think maybe I just got an adventurer with no sense.
But, since I must be working on taking a survey for all of the city states, this is what I need to be working with.
Identifying it is more of a hassle, so I hired a weaver to work with the photos. He was much more willing to oblige, though he paused whenever he saw my unwilling pasty.
I do not care for relationships, only results. And he did deliver, so for now, Aleport’s identifications are complete. I do want a larger survey, so for now I’m holding off on posting until I have covered the entire area— or at least the ones that have Aetherytes, since those have the most traffic.
The next part unfortunately involves going to Swiftperch, but I might need to find someone else entirely… maybe someone with more common sense.
Afterword from Muse
I went to go find the adventurer that Mun had worked with, and she was quite the excited person!
“I didn’t think I’d get a follow up for a photo shoot, that’s great!”
“Oh, the nice fella was just a bit quiet, but nothing wrong with that, but I thought they’d be way more impressed with a fight scene! They were, right? I mean, they had to have been if they came back for more photos!”
Maybe its for the best that they don’t read this passage.
