Doubling down was probably my best idea. I really need to write out that 1.0 Adaption.
12. What was the worst injury your muse has received?
· Their Worst Injuries
Thinking about it… Rene and Sage both have face scars, Rene is from an mugging attempt by bandits (so he claims) , Sage’s is from a training incident with an axe.
Beet’s was a leg injury from when she was trapped under debris during the calamity, Pen’s worst injury was actually prevented by sheer luck. His former place of work burned down during the calamity, and he was nearly in the building when it happened. He thanks the Spinner every day that it wasn’t the case.
He did, however, trip on some debris afterwards and got knocked out by a piece of the falling building anyways, and had to be nursed back to health. It could’ve been worse but he has a slight tendency to exaggerate.
Do they actively seek romance, or do they wait for it to fall into their lap? (Bon)
Bon’s the kind of fella who isn’t actively interested in romance. Maybe he’d do it on a whim just to see what it’s like, but otherwise he’s a hard person to pin down to one person or place. If an opportunity for romance comes up, he might pursue it for his own curiosity, or if someone comes to him there’s no reason for him to reject it either. He works on his own whims.
What are they like as a neighbor?
(for any! Or all of yours!)
OOC: You know, this one’s actually a pretty good prompt because I just designed Rene (and company)’s house for Junelezen but I never actually considered what his group would be like as neighbors… now’s a good time to write that out!
Sage
She’d be the neighbor that is always hanging around outside and if she happens to see anyone around she’ll always invite them to hang out or hang around with them. A total extrovert, but weirdly enough she never seems to be hanging out with her own friends…?
Pepper
The eccentric neighbor that is incredibly hard to get a read on. On the one hand, he’s not standoffish, but has zero values of personal space, has a tendency to have people chasing him down, and is constantly asking for gil because quote “I spent my gil on MGP so I could buy the lotto” and “But I don’t have enough for the airship fee or teleport fee. I could give you an IOU!” Never hang out with this guy for food.
Despite his eccentricities as a proclaimed wizard, Pepper is actually an artisan at both weaving and painting. That still doesn’t change the fact that he’s bad at money.
Rene
Another neighbor that’s hard to get a read on, but that’s because he’s never actually at his house. Most of the time he’s working at a different place and his friends are the ones living at his house. (Pepper is their permanent guest.)
Whenever he is around, he’s polite…. And that’s about it. It’s not that he doesn’t have a lack of depth, it’s that most of the time he’s either in the house or going out. If he was actually around, would he be any interesting, or keep putting up a front…?
Beet
The one who basically owns the house, and the most friendly of the bunch.
Being slightly older has not stopped her from having a great enthusiasm for trying out new things and going all over, tending to try and befriend anyone (which is why she keeps giving people food she cooked.)
Has a constant habit of comparing things to her home, wherever that is, and the place she’s currently residing in.
Bon
Bon is less of a neighbor and more of a guy who is spotted in the strangest places possible, whether that be on top of a roof or in the middle of a bar fight sitting in the center dodging other people.
Popping up all over the area does nothing to stop his mellow demeanor, where he’d try to tell people to go enjoy nature.
Unless it’s something historic, in which he also begins following Beet’s example of explaining as a much as possible.
Rin/Pen
Rin also has the same problem as Rene in which he’s too busy working to properly make bonds with the neighbor in question and only returns to his house in the dead of night or not at all if he falls asleep at an inn.
Lily
Lily would be the kind of neighbor who would attempt to discuss books and historic texts and if you have a lack of interest in that she doesn’t have much else to talk about. Lately she’s been trying to gain more hobbies, like weaving. …assuming you’re able to get her to talk at all.
M’ari
M’ari is a surprisingly normal neighbor minus the tendency to also appear in random places fishing.
Also, he keeps making painfully bad puns and in general gives out unsolicited advice.
Sometimes he can be seen cooking, other times his children (Sage and Pepper) appear and he needs to put out a house fire. It’s a gamble to if the food you get is edible or not if he invites you over.
They’re a surprisingly ranged set of neighbors…
40. How sensitive are they to their own flaws?
·
Depends on which flaws are pointed out. A few would be nonchalant (Pepper, Bon, Pen) or others might ignore them entirely (Sage, Rene, M’ari.) None would be in denial, but they certainly wouldn’t enjoy having their flaws acknowledged.
When forced to do a group project with other people, what role do they usually play?
Answers from Gridania
Rene: “I’m the-“
Beet: “Follower.” (She points for emphasis.)
Bon: “Follower.” (He agrees.)
Rene: “Untrue! There’s the squadron…
Bon: “False. You do realize that Samga is the one in charge after you and she does most of the work, right? She’s basically the leader.”
Rene: “Fair enough…. But you guys just answered for me!”
Bon: “I consider myself to be more of an observer to group work and be the most agreeable.”
Beet: “Same.”
…at the end of the day, the three of them combined would not get work accomplished.
Answers from Ul’dah
Rin: “As far as I’m concerned, I think every worker I know and have connected by this moogle mail thing would not step up to be a leader.”
Pepper: “Yourself included?”
Rin: “Well, yes—Hey! Not like you’re any better, slacker!”
Lily, witnessing this entire event, merely shrugs.
Answers from Limsa Lominsa
Sage: “Of course I’d be the leader, like a ship captain taking the helm, or, or—!”
M’ari: “I’d go with the flow, personally. No point in trying to get everyone to listen to me when we’ll never work together again…”
M’ari: “As an aside, even if you assign yourself as the leader, what do you do when no one will listen to you? You’ll fall back in line.”
moss: how easily does your muse adapt to any new situations they’re thrust into?
New Social situations
Does poorly: Sage (too worried about making first impressions), Pepper (could care less), Bon (is still learning conversational cues), Lily (too shy to know where to begin), Pen ( has no clue how to start or end a conversation)
Does well: Rene (will hold a conversation well enough), Beet (naturally friendly), M’ari (down to earth)
New Combat situations
Does poorly: Lily (is learning how to fight), Beet ( is better at healing), M’ari (the fisherman never learned beyond basic summoning)
Does Well: Rene (has he always carried around knives…?), Sage (can hold well enough to get out of a situation), Pepper (self explanatory. No need to fight if you can run fast!), Pen (can confuse the opponent long enough to knock them out), Bon ( Cast Stone—> Cast Glare)
Political Situations (The thing entirely out of their range! )
Does Poorly: M’ari (Former pirate), Sage (raised by pirates), Pepper (mercenary renegade wizard), Pen (raised by a renegade wizard and has no knowledge or scope outside of “the economy”), Beet (hopelessly idealistic on the idea of “everyone getting along”)
Does Well: Rene (adopted into nobility and hated every second of it), Bon (despite his profession being a wanderer???), Lily (learned politics as part of her curriculum)
Do they consider laws flexible, or immovable? (M'ari)
M’ari isn’t legally allowed to tell you that answer because he spent majority of his life as a pirate before adopting his kids and switching to a life of borderline legal actions.
The real answer is that any law is breakable as long as you don’t get caught—M’ari.
How do they treat the things their friends come to them excited about? Are they supportive? (Rene)
Rene is kind of a stoic person at points, so when his friends get excited about things he tells them congratulations and what not, but he really doesn’t get it. He’ll offer them as much support in the ways that he can, but in the emotional department sometimes he’s a brick wall.
D - Director - How much do they feel the need to have control over their life? Do they spend a lot of time telling others what to do or and they more likely to be more obedient to others?
This one ended up having a lot more text than my usual answers, so I’m placing it under the cut.
Those from Gridania:
Beet is used to not having authority, but being surrounded by people who would generally listen to her— not because they wanted to, but because of her status as a merchant daughter. Breaking out of this naivety and her home was something that made her realize how little control she actually had over her life, which made her more of a free spirit.
Bon generally wanders through life as free as the wind. Naturally he also dislikes those who attempt to lord over others for any reason. Of course, controlling people also falls into this category. After all, a man interested in certain subsections of history would have a lot to object to the way they handled others.
Rene hates those who impose their will onto others, and as a result of that, he generally feels the need to somewhat have control over some facets of his life. Unfortunately this makes him seem willfully flippant in some areas and totally uptight in others.
The most extent of control he has over others is directing his assigned squadron— the one he didn’t exactly want, and Samga is labeled as his second in command— but she’s really the one in charge. (How he ended up with the serpent position in the first place is also a long story- it’s a job he loves and hates, even though it mostly defines his life at this point.)
Those from Ul’dah:
Pepper is a man of chaos who annoys everyone in authority and does his own thing as blatantly as possible but not enough to be considered breaking any laws, earning the ire of many brass blades.
Pen likes having parts of his life actually be organized and not on a chaotic schedule, but hanging around Lily and Pepper basically makes that impossible. The only constant control he has in life these days is making sure that they don’t get into trouble.
Those from Limsa Lominsa:
One was an ex pirate and the other was raised by an ex pirate. (Pepper counts too. I guess.) They have all the control they want for themselves in the world.
I had a far longer story in mind but then tumblr ate my draft slightly fuming
8. What was your OC's most embarrassing moment? Does it still bother them or are they able to shrug it off? (For any of the crew you'd like!)
Rene: If you had to ask me… quite frankly, there’s nothing so embarrassing as to be regret-
Beet: The bridge toll incident.
Rene: Water under the bridge, mind you-
Bon: The meeting where we all got drunk at the gold saucer comes to mind.
Rene: Bon, I sincerely don’t think-
Sage: Do you remember when we compared carbuncles and Rene’s threw a fit?
Rene: Tartarus is a very sensitive carbuncle and-
Pen:What about that time Beet used me as a test rat for her potions and then she ended up recoloring all of Pepper’s works so we had to scramble to get them fixed?
Pepper: Sorry, Pen, what did you say you did?
Rene: Somehow you forgot when Sage nearly burned down her father’s workplace?
M’ari: Oh, there’s that time we all fell overboard when we all went on that fishing boat!
Lily:… (Somehow, I think you guys are more of an embarrassment than your actions…)
What is a hobby/skill your character wishes they had but either hasn't had the right time or right opportunity to learn and practice?
Hobbies, right?
I’d say the person who’s most into hobby learning at the moment is Lily who’s attempting to get into all sorts of disciples outside of just studying all the time. But the one thing she’s still not the best at is fishing, which would be helpful for her to practice cooking. She just doesn’t have the keen eye to reel it in on time.
As for skills, Sage has been meaning to learn or attempt to learn any type of healing spells beyond the basic physick spell, but is constantly distracted when attempting to learn or find someone to teach her. But her aether reserves are somewhat below average (in comparison to her mage friends) , so conjury is one of those things that wouldn’t be a good fit for her due to exhaustion.
17. You’re being haunted. Who is haunting you?
Sage: I’m far too busy in my life to be being haunted by ghosts, so please tell them to haunt me later!
Pepper: Well, there’s my ex, but I think her aim is getting better! (That’s missing, not haunting…)
Bon: I don’t believe in ghosts! (In some cases he’d be considered one.)
Pen: My mother is always haunting me. She’s not dead! Just really persistent in bugging me.
M’ari: I’m haunted by all the fish I couldn’t catch. As for people, I can’t think of anyone who’d hold a grudge against me, so I like to think I’m A-okay on the ghost department!
Lily: (I’m guessing voidsent don’t count?)
Rene: No comment. My ghosts don’t haunt me anymore.
Beet: Unlike M’ari, who is afraid of his own shadow at points, back in the east—my home area—we’d have various ghosts and spirits known as yokai which take more forms than just the ghosts seen here. Remind me to never invite him to go on a fishing trip there?
Are they good with houseplants? Do they have a favorite one? Tell us about it!
Rating from best to worst: A scale of Beet to Sage Beet’s expertise is growing plants— that’s her entire job. Good! bon Is in tune with nature: also good! He doesn’t have a favorite plant but Beet’s is the morning glory Decent enough: Lily Rene and Mari Mari worked as a farmhand so he should know how to grow plants Lily could figure it out if she read enough about plants Rene can’t grow many plants so he sticks to succulents Bad: Sage and Pepper Sage because she forgets about the plants and Pepper because he lives in a desert area so he can only grow cactus adjacent plants Nonexistent: PenOne time he looked at a plant and it shriveled up and died
27. What would be the worst way to die, in your character’s opinion? (any and all!)
Sage: I think the worst way to die would be with regrets. I want to make sure I die with a satisfactory life where I’ve explored all of the world!
M’ari: Probably drowning, right? Or maybe being stabbed in the back. Not that I’ve seen those things happen, just that those seem like pretty bad ways to go.
Pepper: (Dying before I get to have my revenge.) Dying in some sort of embarrassing way, like what if I cast a spell and it blows up on me!
Lily: (What if I die before I meet my parents again or die in front of them?! I can’t die until they remember I exist.)
Pen: Dying like a coward by running away!
Beet: Being killed by someone you love.
Rene: Dying alone and forgotten.
Bon: Being buried alive! Not in the traditional sense of a grave, mind you, but more or less being trapped underground. Rather than being phobic… its akin to being trapped under rocks? Either way, it would suck!
12. Is your OC cynical or optimistic? Who or what shaped their outlook on life?
There’s only two that are sort of borderline cynical and it’s more or less because of their background events prior to the main scenario that this ask blog takes place in. The rest are optimistic but that’s more of a domino effect than anything else. Like, Sage is optimistic because of her father (M’ari), Beet is optimistic because she chooses to be, Lily is optimistic because she needs to hold onto hope for both her work and gaining recognition so maybe her parents will remember they have a child, and Pen is optimistic because he was raised on stories of optimistic things. As for the two outliers, these past events either took place before the calamity or during it.
For Pepper, the story didn’t begin as a tragedy, but more of a hasty mistake in which he had left his home due to an argument with M’ari, but it’s been so long that both had forgotten what the argument was about. From there, he wandered aimlessly, helping people out in need wherever possible with a sword and shield given to him by another who he’s also forgotten. He had gathered his own group of companions who were also wanderers (never found out what happened to them), and eventually ended up in Ul’dah’s Immortal Flames as a conscript. It was here where he met Winter Ann Potitus, whose moonkeeper name is also lost to the sands of time. From here, the two began as steadfast rivals on opposing sides. The two were not equal in swordsmanship, with her being the better. Then, companions after being made to work together after misunderstandings. Then… a brief hint of love. It would not last, as she was brought back to her legion through blackmail, and a threat to Pepper’s name. She would not be seen again until the battle of Cartenau, in which she was tempered. She died that day, by Pepper’s blade. So he quietly put the sword down, and turned to new avenues of life.
Getting hard Gil! …its not working out for him as much as he’d like.
For Rene, his life was that of contrast, and in one family he was the sole survivor as the rest died and in the other he was treated as the other and ostracized. Belittled. His every word and action met with coldness that was even worse than when he was a child slowly dying of the cold. This was the case for everywhere he went in society because even if he had the same last name as his family, it didn’t change that he was an unwanted child. Eventually, it got to a point where he simply chose to leave. If anyone noticed he vanished, they didn’t care enough to come looking for him.
He’s getting better though.
And that's everything from all my tumblr posts text wise! All that's left now is images.
Q♣️ - Do other people consider your muse charming?
Some of them definitely have charming qualities, but I wouldn’t say they’re all around charming. … they’re kind of in a way… awkward? Like, for example, Sage is charming because she’s usually peppy, but that can also tend to get annoying if a person doesn’t know her that well… and sometimes when she tells that a person is getting annoyed by her she tends to double down. Not the best idea, but that’s just how she is.
Rene might seem serious at times, but, something charming about him is that he likes cute things. Sometimes he ends up adopting minions and feeding them and complimenting them when they’re not looking. …see, this red panda, it’s pretty cute!
im going to give them all thematically appropriate photos for as many as i can even if that isn’t as efficient also the outfits will probably switch a lot since i'm just pulling screenshots i have uploaded elsewhere And also… probably going to answer for a select few instead of all of them in a single ask because some of them are definitely less developed
5. What is your muse’s biggest regret? 6. Does your muse believe in an afterlife?
Biggest Regrets
Sage and Bon haven’t lived lives with a lot of regret in them yet, so they don’t have much to go with.
Pepper’s would be not being around his past friends more often before their disappearances. Or, what happened to his close friend during the Calamity, where he had to cut her down on the other side of the battlefield.
Lily’s biggest regret is not changing majors and having to edit her work consistently.
Rene’s biggest regret is a secret.
Pen’s greatest regret was falling for multiple scams and getting into debt.
Beet’s regret, not visiting her parents enough.
Thoughts on The Afterlife
Right. For the standard I think they do believe in the seven heavens and the Twelve, even if that’s sort of up to debate on the nature of it (not that it uh. Affects the group as much in the NPCverse.)
Sweet pea - What colour are your OC's eyes?
M’ari- Green
Pepper- Purple
Sage- Red
Beet- Yellow
Lily- Also Yellow.
Rene- Also Yellow…
Pen- He has heterochromia. His eyes are two different shades of green.
Bon- Blue! It’s hard to tell because of the rings around his eyes, they make his look white.
favorite: Does your OC have a favorite article of clothing or accessory? What is it? What's the meaning behind it? Do they wear it all the time or do they wear it sparingly to keep it safe?
Lily’s cowboy hat is the one she’s been wearing for quite a long time. It used to belong to one of her parents! Since she has never actually met them though, she’s meticulously had it repaired for a long time to make sure that if she ever sees them that they’ll recognize the hat. (They’d probably recognize it first before her…)
If there’s any set of clothes that Rene prefers, it’s his original outfit he got for joining the twin adders. Even though he’s a higher rank, he prefers to wear it because of the memories he had while he used it (even if it does cause confusion as to what rank he’s actually in.)
Pen’s armor (when he wears it) is said to be an armor belonging to a legendary knight! (It’s actually just normal armor.) In the hopes that it will shine again one day he keeps up with cleaning it and wearing it a lot of times to ensure that one day he’ll be seen as a great knight while wearing it. No one wants to comment directly on it.
👎 Is there someone your OC can’t stand, despite them being on the same side or sharing basic values?
Despite being in the same group, Sage sometimes butts heads with Rene, solely because even though they’re friends in a sense (he let her basically use his house) it still feels like he’s incredibly distant from her and almost… faking how much he likes her? Sometimes what he says and what he does don’t feel genuine at all.
Rene could care less of what others think of him unless he wants to be friends with them (which is why he values Sage’s opinion of him but he’s not going to try explaining his entire life to her prior to coming to Gridania), but he can’t stand some of his coworkers because even though they’re all working to protect the city state they can’t let go of their prejudices (which is slightly hypocritical of him considering his background).
Pen doesn’t like Pepper either, but that was mostly because when they first met they then proceeded to get into a tale of weird shenanigans— mostly Pepper’s fault.
Even though they’re siblings, Sage can’t stand Pepper either sometimes because of how clearly he’s wasting potential. He has a lot of power and he’s using it to be a basic mercenary and screw around in the market and work on crafting instead of being a huge adventurer. What she doesn’t get is that he tried being an adventurer once and was injured emotionally by the experience he had in the past.
You know who else doesn’t like Pepper? Bon. He swears he’s seen him doing higher level spells but most black mage spells are explicitly forbidden. One day he’ll catch in the act and then…!
Give him a good scolding!
CRITICAL HIT : What is your character’s biggest weakness? Do they try to overcome it?
·
Pepper has no weaknesses because he’s perfect in every way (this is a blatant lie.)
Sage’s weakness is more of a psychological one where she fears losing (whether this be fights or items or friends) so she has a tendency to paradoxically push the things she wants the most away. She’s not really overcoming her issues that way…
Pen’s biggest weakness is feeling like he’s not being taken seriously, and then he tends to double down. He will earn a person’s respect if it’s the last thing he does!
Rene’s biggest weakness (and personal flaw) is that he hides behind a false personality and tends to get mad when people point out that he’s being fake in some way, so he becomes even more fake. Which does tend to produce a side effect for the people he genuinely dislikes because he becomes more polite and cheery in some sort of bizarre feedback loop. Of course, this problem could be solved if he was more genuine but he thinks people wouldn’t like him that way. (Which is. A different problem.)
Bon’s biggest weakness is that he doesn’t really get emotions (he’s working on it), so whenever people tend to show heavy emotions in front of him, he’s unsure of what to do. Overcoming it means he needs to learn how to learn about his as well.
Lily’s weakness is that she’s shy and afraid of public speaking, but that’s being handled incidentally by hanging out with more people.
If M’ari has to have a weakness… it would be exploiting his kids in some way… even if they are grown adults seeing them in danger would get him riled up in some way… but that can’t be helped.
▲: my muse’s happiest memory (for any or all :) )
· Pen’s happiest memory actually came with him crying immediately afterwards. It was when he was sitting after being told his debt was gone and the realization made him laugh out loud… which quickly turned into tears.
Sage’s happiest memory was during one of her childhood birthdays when she was gifted a grimoire, which she used to summon a carbuncle! She doesn’t really summon much anymore but she still keeps her first one around somewhere.
As for some of the others, it would be past memories or in their childhoods, like Lily with her parents, Pepper with his former adventurer group, M'ari when the kids were still young, and Beet when she ran away to be independent (even if afterwards wasn’t the best of times.)
🐛
You’d think that a bunch of people typically on the lookout for adventuring forays and jobs for commissions would be on time primarily for their own plans, but the one thing they can’t get together is the ability to show up on time for anything work related.
Sage? Probably too busy listening to adventurers tell stories of their day.
Pepper? Probably doing street performances with his magic. Bon? Likely got lost wandering the woods.
Not to mention all the other stuff to get distracted by…
star: a wish your muse has
· Wishes of the part timers
Sage: A wish to go on a great adventure!
Pen: See above.
Lily: Finding her parents.
Pepper: Finding a great treasure so he doesn’t have to work.
M'ari: That his kids stay happy.
Beet: No wishes. She’s happy where she is!
Bon: Finding people who are as interested in history as he is (and not interested in the weapons prospect.)
Rene: (That the rest of his extended family would leave him alone), that every day stays peaceful.
For Sage: snowdrop
· Snowdrop - What is something your OC loves, and what is something they hate?
For Sage, she loves adventure. The spirit of being able to go wherever you want, explore whatever, meet new people and friends… and she loves hearing about it too! Compared to most adventurers she’s still fairly new but enthusiastic.
As for her hate, since she’s always bogged with commissions from the adventurer’s guild, she hates the type of people that try to haggle to absurdly low discounts for disingenuous reasons (so basically, people likeminded to her brother). It’s already one thing for someone to try and scam her for her money, but it’s another thing when someone takes the things she made and immediately puts it on the marketplace at a higher price.
4. which ocs sleep curled up vs. spread out vs. moves a lot during the night?
· Sleeping Habits
M’ari tends to be the quietest sleeper who curls up and usually in a corner. But he snores, so it’s a losing scenario.
Pepper has the tendency to toss in his sleep, mumble, kick, and take up the most space.
Sage thankfully doesn’t toss or kick in her sleep, but still sleeps with a stuffed chocobo plush. It’s cute, but it’s starting to look a bit… worn out.
Bon tends to sleep as still as a rock when he sleeps, which has led to moments where no one was sure if he was alive while asleep. Otherwise, he sleeps all over the place, whether that be on top of a tree or someone’s roof. Wandering tends to have him do that.
Rene curls up in his sleep. He just uses a pillow in place of the stuffed chocobo.
Lily sleeps straight in her sleep but curls sometimes. Sometimes its easier to curl than try spreading out because there’s a chance she could roll onto the wall while she sleeps.
Pen also spreads out in his sleep, but he doesn’t take up a lot of space. There was one time where he was going to try sleeping in his armor, but hearing the bed frame creaking under him quickly dissuaded him to not try something like that. Better to compromise his secret identity* than uh. Break a bed and have to pay for it.
Beet doesn’t move much, but she prefers sleeping on the floor with a futon.
*It’s not really as secret as he thinks it is.
9. Is your character’s current socioeconomic status different than it was when they were growing up?
· There’s quite a few that have had their lifestyles and economic status changed from wandering around to creating their own friend/co-worker group (the part timers).
For more of the richer families, I’d say that Beet and Rene both qualify in this area (though I hesitate to say that Rene qualifies as being rich due to circumstances.)
Beet moved overseas from her more rich merchant family in the East and started off living in Ul’dah making some money (but not enough to say, afford more extravagant meals like the ones she used to have with her family.) She mostly shares an apartment with Pen when they aren’t staying over at Rene’s house. As for Pen…
Pen’s monetary value fluctuates based on his luck. He was also well off before moving to Ul’dah but hesitates to ask his mother for money in any form due to her eccentricities.
Rene lived with his more extended family in Ishgard after an incident involving his direct family, but due to subsequent treatment with some exceptions (being ignored and outright neglected until being sent to the Scholasticate), he doesn’t consider himself a part of that family at all nor does he consider the money that they have to be his own. His current status as a Gridanian citizen/ deputy is considered a downgrade but he’s happier this way.
M’ari hasn’t changed economically but socially he went from a “pirate” (glorified lackey) to full time fisherman. Verdict’s out on if this is an improvement or not.
The only one who’s had a direct improvement in life is ironically Pepper who lives life as a mercenary for hire (alongside other monetary scams) who went from wandering adventurer to wandering adventurer with a house (which isn’t even his house, it’s Rene’s house.)
