- Note: This is a supplemental work to my RP universe in which my playable FFXIV characters are NPCs.
- I sometimes use terminology from FF11 and sometimes bring in original ideas that might not match up with what's presented in game and the game's supplementary material. Please keep that in mind.
Greetings, potential readers. I begin this story not with a statement or prologue, but a question.
After a researcher’s published works began making the rounds through academia, I had noted how quite abstract the collection of works were, and how for all of the grandiose purposes of educational purposes— there was a severe lack of the opinion of the common man. When asking the author, who, twelve bless, allowed me to post their answer, I was told that “common people don’t sell books.”
I wonder why that is the case? Certainly I live and value the opinion of people that live among me, rather than the exceptions to the rules throughout history. That is to say, “I really don’t care about infamous people.” Rather than have everything be dictated by exceptions, I’m taking my previously rejected notes on various subjects and people, and publishing them all in this unofficial almanac. Consider it as a contemporary piece, rather than anything fully academic— it would likely be rejected by the higher ups anyways.
Regardless, I hope that for any readers, they will give me the time of the day, and that I am able to release this by the end of summer— as is tradition for my works to be released at the tail end of the year.
— Mundane (Author’s Pen Name).
Hiiii, readers! Muse here!
You’ll note that there’s two author names on the book, so here’s a good author filling in the works where their friend couldn’t! That’s right, me and Mun ( or Munny, or Mun-Mun), are friends outside of ink and quill and the publishing place! (I call that IAQ.) Mun couldn’t finish the full work without everything sounding “ as boring as the seventh hell on a rainy Darksday when Leviathan tried flooding Vylbrand” (why they still use the old calendar system is beyond me.) I didn’t want all their hard work to go back down to nothing, so I gathered a group of people in order to get their works and notes as well to give this the touch of the people that Mun needed!
If you managed to get through all that, I’ll even throw in a bonus! My next published work, Yggdrasil the Adventurer, is put in the excerpts here as a preview! Please enjoy an early viewing of it.
Yours Truly,
Muse
Author’s notes: Probably my most unconventional work, but this is the “main story” I’m going to try and focus on for my non-MSQ related XIV stories. The two authors is a bit I’ve created solely because my written works vastly differ between analytical or emotional pieces. Maybe I’m overexplaining, but I feel the need to clarify in some areas. I'll tag this later on as to not spam the tag.
