So the current transformers thing is going somewhat well, I’m taking it a bit slower then I thought though. Still haven’t read through many comics but I ended up reading through the Skybound comics, it’s totally awesome!
Night and Day though when I’m still watching through Season 2 of the sunbow cartoon though. I also watched through the machinima prime wars/combiner wars show and that one was alright, I guess. I watched some of the live action movies too but I didn’t really like them very much aside from the 1st one and the other two I didn’t see yet since they weren’t on my service.

I’ll probably watch the Netflix War for Cybertron show next. Idk.

Anyways, here’s like, my current headcanons that I’ve just been making up as I watch shows. Somehow they’re gonna be way off base from what everyone else is working with and also probably get contradicted by later shows as I watch them. I am not in the fandom and also barely reading any of the fics yet, I’m gonna say something so off base somehow.

G1 cartoon current headcanons

The 2nd in command position keeps switching because it’s not set in stone but my current contenders are Jazz and Ratchet (Jazz for the movies, Ratchet for the G1 Cartoon)
Prowl was a lawyer on Cybertron and just got the cop car
Barricade and Prowl had a rivalry at one point (this is just me making one up based on that G1 Prowl is a cop car and that Movie Barricade was also a cop car)
Prowl is the only guy on the team currently aware of the internet and does IMs with Chip ever since that one episode
Mixmaster and various other characters like cats (example: Starscream based on skybound, me being a little silly and looking at Mm’s helmet and going “cat”, Soundwave and Ravage)
I think the decepticons try to pull pranks on each other to varying levels and degrees of harm such as: stealing medical supplies, daring each other to go into increasingly stupid things (go in mixmaster’s drum, go hang out in soundwave’s room and see if he doesn’t notice) but also they’re increasingly dysfunctional and just randomly jump and attack each other.
Ravage can talk but just chooses not to
Wheeljack and Ratchet are married and the dinobots are their “kids” (at least for the g1 cartoon canon)
Skyfire and Starscream did not get married but there was a proposal being considered before the incident with the ice. Very sad, it never happened and now they are like turbo divorced.
Various characters that turn into common cars occasionally end up being cryptids humans by just driving around without any driver inside (I know that in the movies there is a human form they can like mimic, but I think the concept of ghost cars is funnier)
Completely ignoring that I’ve seen TFone, I think the general part of the war’s origin is one day megatron showed up from nowhere and started being an asshole and that escalated into a full blown civil war

Machinima (Prime Wars)

Rodimus spends a large time of his recovery period post Machinima combiner wars just wandering around retracing his steps from when he was Cron, unfortunately haunted by visages and memories of his era with Overlord. Not helping is my other headcanon that Overlord walked off the blast so whenever he’s like “sometimes I still see him” it’s literally actually just the real Overlord. Haunted by cowboy.
Whatever Machinima ghost Starscream was going to do is immediately halted by Windblade seeing him being a ghost and then he gets unceremoniously thrown into the well of all sparks. That doesn’t get rid of him though so he just ends up on parole back on the council where Perceptor and Windblade and Optimus and Primal are in charge.
The writing decision to kill Megatron at the end is also reversed and he wakes up in the cybertronian swamp being like “what the hell.”
Not much else I can say for this one because there’s literally like nobody else in the cast like everyone else pretty much died unceremoniously.

A while ago, Red and Green on bulbapedia had their ages labeled as 30+ because of Porygon, which was a bit absurd.
But what kind of math would be required to even get them to be that age?
Read more... ) Edit: so the teraleak specifically says Red and Green are just like 20 lol

I have serious bedtime procrasination problems. Anyways, here's my attempt at figuring out the pokemon timeline based on my own personal takes and the most agreed upon takes. Mega Timeline, Non Mega Timeline, I'm talking about Console timelines here.

Blank slate protagonists that get personalities added to them in later iterations isn’t something that I’m not used to since I’ve played other games that have blank protags gain personalities elsewhere, but it is kind of funny when you’ve developed a personality that’s so completely noncanon because of the nature of blank slating.

Like in my headcanons, Leaf is a girl who was raised in the 2000s and therefore has all of that cultural background applied to her— which is doubly noncanon because I’m applying a western experience to her. To me, this is a girl who was into dress up flash games and warrior cats who would have an Eevee sparkling rainbow blasting OC and say “rawr.” She was very happy when Sylveon existed. Her bike would be a skateboard and she would secretly be punk despite clearly being dressed like a prep girl. Her and the FRLG redesign of Red (Fire) are twins since I saw the manual as a kid and went “oh, they’re siblings since they both have brown hair.” She starts hanging around Misty and Erika more often because she tried dating the rival once and it didn’t work out.

They (Fire, Leaf… Terry) simultaneously exist with their gen 1 counterparts and their group is known as the successor trio. One day I’ll properly write about all my headcanons for other Pokémon protagonists which are a grabbag of either my own fics, Pokespe, or just me randomly making stuff up. I like to have my pokemon trainer characters be reflective of the time period their games came out sometimes so while Red has a Geocities page that died, Leaf would have the vibes of an NPC in THUG 2 and play guitar hero.

“But if FRLG Red gets called Fire by you sometimes, then FRLG Green should be called Water?” Funnily enough, no. His internal name is Terry. There isn’t a WaterBlue anyways… would the Yellow Equivalent be like, ThunderYellow or LightningYellow?

"It is said that once every ten years, a child is born in Viridian Forest, possessing mysterious powers"--Pokespe (Sourced from Bulbapedia but I have no clue what arc this is from).

I recall the powers skipped over Silver, Yellow is 11 when the arc starts (but 8 during RGB), Giovanni is another one but he's in his 40s (according to another wiki, unless he's 30, which I don't buy.) , which means Lance must be somewhere in the 18-20 range and... yeah, there's no way I would've ever been able to figure that out with Mato's art style (I thought he was a teenager... in hindsight, this makes the yellow lance fight even funnier because this grown man gets blown up by a child). This just means there's some 30 year old person out in the Pokespe world who inexplicably has Viridian Forest powers and missed out on that world ending debacle.

I guess there could be other potential magic forests in the Pokemon world but that's clearly not a thing pokespe will probably ever touch again because it was a case of "we need something to fill the gap of time between G/S since it got delayed during spaceworld so we're just gonna... make something up for the yellow plot."

So possible candidates are Ilex in Johto (because Celebi), and Winding Woods in Kalos (because having it next to Pokemon Village and Snowbelle City seems more interesting than Santalune which is a map copy of viridian, plus Xerneas as the guardian of life).

I don't think Eterna forest is one solely because of the haunted mansion blocking out whatever potential magic there could be. I doubt the swords of justice would allow a person like that to exist in Unova because of their distrust of humans (N is not a part of the powers thing because he only has a base level understanding nor does he have the healing or mind reading powers and also I don't think he's 30 years old).
